CDR Carlos Rodriguez completed fellowship training in trauma and surgical critical care at the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center from 2006-2008, and earned his Master’s in Business Administration at the George Washington University in 2008. He is stationed at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD where he is the Director of the Division of Trauma and medical director of the Surgical ICU. Currently, he serves as vice chair for the Navy to the ACS Committee on Trauma (COT) and as the chair of EAST’s ad hoc Military Committee. His research interests include post-blast invasive fungal infection, open abdomens, and veno-thromboembolism disease.
